Volkswagen Group Rus closes office in Nizhny Novgorod

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Jul 5 (PRIME) -- Volkswagen Group Rus has started closing its office in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod, a spokesperson told PRIME on Tuesday.

"Taking into account the high level of unpredictability and the impossibility to forecast the potential restart of production in Nizhny Novgorod, Volkswagen Group Rus has decided to start the official procedure of closing its office in Nizhny Novgorod on July 5, 2022," the official said.

Spokeswoman for Volkswagen Group in Russia Natalya Kostyukovich said that the measure does not affect the producing facility at Volkswagen’s partner GAZ, but only the office.
